Accommodation In Mongolia

Accommodation Mongolia: What Awaits You There!

The capital of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar. It has many hotels ranging from 1* to 5* and they are very comfortable and clean. Here, you can also find some international chains opened. You can find a number of travel agencies in Mongolia who works with some of the best hotels for all budgets that are centrally located and offers good services.

You should also keep in mind that traveling in the countryside of Mongolia is quite tough. But some of the great travel agencies can also conduct a great trip in remote areas where there’s no hotel and only paved roads exist.

You can also opt for Ger camps which are available in various tourists destinations. These are traditional Mongolian dwellings that are made of felt layers and wooden construction. In them the Mongols have lived since time immemorial. These camps also have western style showers and WCs. A few of them also offer en-suite gers at additional charge. Now, let’s look at the details of homestay tours.

Nomad Homestay Tours:

Our special tour allows you to discover a different world called Bayan-Ulgii. This is the only Kazakh province in Mongolia. In about 1750 a large group of Kazakhs had moved from Kazakhstan to China, then in 1844 the Kazakh leaders, Kobesh and Jilhishi, lead 500 families from China to a new home in Western Mongolia. These are the only ethnic Kazakhs who had still maintained their pure traditional culture and language.

Mongolia Tours

Here, summer is the busiest time for nomadic people as they prepare all milk products for the long winter, including butter and a local type of dry cheese. This is a very unique tour as it allows you to stay among traditional nomadic families and also share and learn about their special lifestyle.

Home Stay With Kazakh Nomads and Eagle Festival:

In Mongolia, there are two Eagle Festivals that takes place. The very first one is about two hours away from Ulgii in Sagsai and it happens on the second weekend of September. The second festival is the Golden Eagle Festival which is a bigger festival held in the Bugat region. This festival takes place a few weeks later on the first weekend of October. Each of the festivals last about two days long. Therefore, you can take a trip and enjoy this wonderful festival.
